We are seeking a skilled Construction Foreman to oversee and coordinate various construction projects from conception to completion. With responsibility for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the construction process, the Foreman ensures that projects adhere to blueprints and building plans, meeting safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Management and Execution
- Plan, implement, and manage construction tasks based on project priorities and goals.
- Produce detailed workers and project schedules.
- Manage daily crew attendance and monitor construction activities to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Allocate and delegate responsibilities to construction workers, ensuring strategic use of the workforce.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure all team members follow safety standards rigorously.
- Resolve any work-related issues or conflicts that arise on the construction site in a timely and effective manner.
- Resource Management
- Manage the use of machinery and equipment, scheduling maintenance and ensuring operational safety.
- Ensure availability of labor, tools, and materials necessary for completing the project.
- Quality Control and Reporting
- Supervise, train, and provide feedback to workers, improving skills and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports to Site Engineer, highlighting any adjustments needed to meet the project timelines.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the operations department and the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a construction foreman with a thorough understanding of construction operations and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of Formworks, Masonry, Carpentry, Heavy Equipment, and other systems used in the construction industry.
- Strong familiarity with blueprints, diagrams, and construction plans.
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking ability.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Physical condition and stamina to handle the demands of a construction site.
- High school diploma; further education or certification in construction management, building science, or relevant field is highly beneficial.
