We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Liaison Officer to join our Sales & Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and monitoring government projects, ensuring seamless coordination between clients and the technical team. Your duties will include preparing and submitting bid proposals, maintaining strong relationships with government agencies, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Your efforts will contribute to the successful acquisition and execution of projects, ultimately driving the growth and success of our organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Acquisition and Monitoring
- Identify and secure projects through active prospecting and networking.
- Monitor public bidding opportunities and participate in the bidding process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and other potential clients.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals in coordination with the technical team.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
- Client Support and Project Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project acquisition and execution.
- Coordinate with the technical team to ensure client requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of secured projects to the operations team.
- Ensure handover documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow up with clients post-project completion to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of all activities, including client interactions, proposals, and contracts.
- Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required by government agencies or internal departments.
- Manage and update client databases and contact lists.
- Process documentation and assist in the preparation of supporting documents for bid submission.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the sales department and the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience as a liaison officer, in sales, or marketing, particularly in the construction industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients.
- Adept in negotiation and persuasion techniques.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to succeed.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Knowledgeable about the local market and industry trends in the region.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and public bidding is a plus.
