We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Site Engineer to join our construction team. As a Site Engineer, you will be instrumental in managing daily operations on construction sites, overseeing technical aspects, and ensuring adherence to project specifications. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, a hands-on approach to site management, and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles to deliver high-quality infrastructure developments.


Core Responsibilities

  1. Project Execution and Oversight:
    • Project Coordination: Supervise daily operations, ensuring construction activities align with project plans and specifications.
    • Site Inspections: Conduct routine and thorough site checks to oversee progress, manage resources, and uphold safety and quality standards.
    • Compliance and Documentation: Manage and maintain essential project documents, including implementation plans using PERT/CPM, ensuring all regulatory and procedural documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
  2. Technical and Regulatory Compliance:
    • Materials and Standards Compliance: Verify that all construction materials and practices meet project specifications and quality standards.
    • Environmental and Safety Compliance: Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain high safety standards.
  3. Communication and Reporting:
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and address technical challenges.
    • Progress Reporting: Provide detailed daily updates and comprehensive weekly reports on project status, challenges, and milestones.
  4. Quality Control and Project Evaluation:
    • Inspection and Evaluation: Conduct detailed pre-final and final project inspections to ensure all aspects of the project meet or exceed expectations.
    • Documentation Accuracy: Manage and archive detailed records of the construction process, including photographic documentation for quality assurance and billing.
  5. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Team Leadership: Direct and support construction teams, clarifying roles and responsibilities and ensuring a cohesive project execution strategy.
    • Professional Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in road construction and civil works project management.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to undergo training and adapt to new technologies or procedures.
